Q: Why do I need a Smart Printer? What's wrong with just using a "dumb" printer and a standard label
generating package?
A: Two words – "Error Proofing".
If you are printing labels in a batch environment and handing them
out to people to slap onto parts, containers, or pallets, you are
setting yourself up for mislabeling. And mislabeling can cost you
plenty in the way of fines, incorrect shipments, expedited freight
(to correct your bad shipment), and lower quality ratings. Smart
Printing eliminates any possibility of mislabeling by embedding
the creation and printing of a label inside the label printer itself.
So, instead of printing labels in a back room and praying that the
operator applies them correctly, let the Smart Printer make sure
that the operator gets the correct label and only when it’s needed.
Error Proofing means preventing errors from occurring. Smart Printing
= Error Proofing. Check out our various Smart Printing systems like
PLC Printer, SmartPack, and our newest product SmartApply for the
ultimate Print&Apply error proofing and stop worrying about labeling
errors.
